How to be Filled/Controlled by the Holy Spirit

The greatest need of the Christian is to “abide” in Christ by being filled/controlled by the Holy Spirit for life and service to the Lord. The Bible does not give specific steps to take to be filled. Instead, it teaches a believer the principles of how to have a consistent walk with the Spirit.

Unlike the Holy Spirit permanent indwelling within the true believer at salvation; walking and being controlled by the Spirit is a minute-by-minute, hour-by-hour, day-by-day choice by the believer to yield to the Spirit and to depend upon His direction and leading.
